Sammie Mosier brings over three decades of distinguished nurse leadership experience to her role as Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive for the Nashville area. She oversees nursing practice and operations across multiple hospitals and clinics, impacting countless patients and families.
Mosier began her nursing career in Nashville in 1987 after earning her BSN from Tennessee State University. Her excellence in caring for neurology patients led to roles like Nurse Manager of Neuro ICU before becoming Chief Nursing Officer at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in 2015.
Known for her collaborative approach, Mosier was instrumental in establishing the first stroke telemedicine program in Middle Tennessee. This improved rapid stroke diagnosis and treatment, enhancing countless lives. She also helped implement protocols to reduce falls risks among vulnerable neuro populations.
Beyond her nursing acumen, Mosier is a thoughtful mentor for rising nurse leaders. She co-founded Academy for Emerging RN Leaders to develop management competencies. Mosier also volunteers regularly for local community health initiatives.
